Farmers kept two spreadsheets and a notebook because the old app was unusable outdoors.

What I did

Field interviews, a one-thumb layout and a high-contrast mode tested in direct sunlight.

I start with the people who will use the thing — watching, not just asking. Then I sketch a lot, test early and keep the team close, because the best ideas usually come from engineers and support staff.

Before going independent I spent six years in product teams at two SaaS companies.
